A 25-year veteran of television and radio reporting, Rusty is a Senior Vice-President at NewsCertified Exchange, a company that globally links journalists with News-Ready experts.

Prior to joining NewsCertified Exchange, Dornin was a longtime CNN correspondent and frequent contributor to Anderson Cooper 360°. She has covered diverse stories ranging from natural disasters to tales of crime, war and politics.

Dornin has reported on Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 Indonesian tsunami, as well as the investigation into the disappearance of Chandra Levy and the trials of the Unabomber, Michael Jackson and Scott Peterson.
She also contributed to CNN’s coverage of the aftermath of September 11th, and has reported on numerous political campaigns, including the 2008 U.S. Presidential race.
On the international front, Dornin covered the G-8 summit, political crisis in Haiti, the war in Kosovo and the plight of Cuban and Haitian boat refugees.

Before joining CNN, Dornin reported for the CBS and FOX television affiliates in San Francisco. She was the bureau chief for the FOX affiliate in Fresno, California and was an anchor for the all-news radio station, KOGO in San Diego.
Dornin graduated with honors from the University of California Santa Barbara with visions of becoming a cultural anthropologist, but obviously took a detour. She lives in Washington D.C. with her husband.
